Have a lot to tell you!!!

First off let me start by telling you that the keyboards over here are completely different than back home. I have to shift to place a period, the Q and A are switched, the W and Z are switched, the M and the ? are switched... so please forgive any mispellings.

So since I last blogged a lot has happened. We saw Les Miserables which was the most amazing thing I have seen... probably ever will see. The voices were unbelievable and the acting was soooo good! Natalia and I cried almost the entire time because it was so powerful. The most impressive character was Marius... he brought a completely new side to the part. He was more youthful and naive and he actually cried on stage. I'm pretty positive that I fell in love with him for a moment or two... or three. In fact I may still be in love with Marius (whose real name is Gary Watson) haha! ;)

Our next stop was to Bath. Yes a real town named Bath... A little history on this place ready? ok! The British settled in Bath and discovered a natural thermal spring... the Romans invaded and took over they used the bath for healing, bathing, socializing, etc... the British invaded and reclaimed back their land (this was over a long period of time.. fyi) Anyway, in Bath there is this natural spring that you can tour.. the Romans built their city around it so as you walk through it you see a lot of ruins. I took some really neat pictures (I'll try to get them on here). At the end of the tour Natalia and I actually got to drink this natural purified water, it was warm smelled like eggs and tasted of iron.. its supposed to be really healthy, I haven't died yet. :) Bath is also the place where Jane Austen lived for a bit, in fact quite a few of her novels take place in Bath. We got to tour her home. Very simple but still neat to see.. Bath was so cool! For those of you who have seen any landscape from ANY versions of Pride & Prejudice that is Bath in a nutshell... gorgeous!

The next few days after we began leaving the UK where dreadful... too long and full of too many miscommunications... Its hard to speak French and it stresses me out.

So currently we are in Paris and today we went to the Eiffel Tower... all the way up (about 600 steps to the 2nd floor and then an elevator ride to the very top) you can see all of Paris and then some. So neat!!! As if we hadn't walked around enough we decided to walk all the way to the Louvre I don't know exactly how far away it is... but if you could find out for me that'd be great, I'd feel like I'd accomplished something. hehe. We got the the museum and got to see the original Mona Lisa... it is surprisingly small but who cares? It's been around forever and I can actually say I saw it, check that off my list of "things to do before I die." We spent the entire rest of the day walking all the way back to the Eiffel Tower... past it actually, then past the tiny Statue of Liberty, all while it was pouring rain. Can you guess who forgot her umbrella, coat, and French guide book? Can you? ME!!! ugh! So thats as far as I've come on my journey... it is sooo late here and I'm sleepy. I love you all very much. Can't wait to tell you more. xoxoxo

One last thing... on a Pride & Prejudice note (for all the American boys out there) learn to be chivalrous and kind to young ladies.. I can't tell you how many times the men over in Europe have held doors, helped carry our bags (which weigh about 45lbs), and waited for the ladies to be seated at the table before they sit... that lasts ones only from the family we are staying with, the dad and his 12 year old son. I promise we haven't eaten with any strange guys!! Love you. Goodnight!

Hey Danielle,
You are soooooooooooooooooo lucky to see Les Miserables! I'm so mad. I'm still holding you to that taking me there to see it. That's one of the things on my list to see before I die. I'm also kind of envious that you got to see the Eiffel Tower. Man, I thought I was mad at you for not giving us updates. Now I'm mad that you are! It's Just Not Fair!!! Well, don't listen to me. I love you! And really do keep giving updates.

Hey Danielle,
Mom just told us about your snails and Spain. Now I know that your older than me so I can't tell you what to eat and what not to eat but if you come home and try and make me eat snails you'll be talking to yourself because I'll be gone. Well, maybe I'll try a little bit. It's been really busy over here so if you have time look at my blog, I got tagged and went to see Joe and Jerome. If you can't I understand. In the meantime keep us posted! LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear Danielle,
What a great adventure you are having! We love hearing about your exciting lives. You and Talia are so inspiring with your zest for life! We just got back from girls camp and are now getting ready for our Nauvoo Trip! We will miss you. Brecky watched our 3 youngest boys during camp. She did a great job. We were very impressed. Aunt Judy broke her ankle on the camp hike. She had to be search & Rescued. Rats! Grandpa Bevell is home after his 2nd surgery. Yea! We are good and we love you.
Love,
Aunt Kathy
